Being first on scene or a First Aider can be a daunting responsibility as accidents and illness can happen in the workplace at any time and the ability to administer emergency treatment before professional help arrives plays an important part in reducing the effects of illness and injury and in some cases saves lives. Under the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 an employer has the responsibility to ensure that first aid provision or emergency medical care in the workplace is sufficient enough to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a First Aid at Work needs assessment to decide where, how many and what types of first aiders are required plus providing training and refresher training for those individuals.

All of our courses are Qualsafe accredited and fully comply with the current regulations and approved codes of practice. Certificates are valid for three years after which candidates will be required to complete a refresher course to renew their qualification.
